Impractical but Interesting

Watch MP3 PlayerUSB built in

This post is more just for interest sake than anything. I’m not sure if I would ever buy a MP3 watch but just to know the possibility is there should I ever want to brings some type of satisfaction. As you can see in the photo above the usb is built directly into the watch strap. The buttons on the side allow you to skip, stop, play and adjust volume. It could work well I suppose if you had really short arms or a really long headphone cord, otherwise if you straighten your arm the headphones would come flying out. A little impractical but has some kind of a wow/cool factor to it.

Greg Sczebel to give away Nissan Cube!!

I was just checking out how saturated the web is getting with Greg Sczebel as the release of his new album draws closer (Oct. 13, 2009) and I stumbled upon something on YourMusicZone. I found out firstly that his new album is going to be sold for just $14.99, but much more excitingly that he is going to give away the car that he just won. Check it out.

Having recently won a 2009 Nissan Cube in a nationwide contest, Greg will be doing something unheard of for both major and independent artists alike. He’s kicking off his album release by announcing a year-long contest where fans can enter a draw through fulfilling monthly tasks (ie: buying the album = 5 ballots, following him on Twitter = 1 ballot, etc.). What’s the prize? One year from now, Greg will draw a winning name, drive to that fan’s house, perform a private concert and as a parting gift, leave the keys to his new car with them. That’s right – he’s giving his 2009 Nissan Cube to one of his dedicated fans through a random draw. For more information visithttp://www.WinGregsCar.com (site launches September 6th, 2009).

New, but familiar sound

Mutemath finally released their sophomore album entitled, Armistice. I am very impressed with it after listening to it completely seven or eight times now. I was a little skeptical of buying it because it had been so long since their first release. Often in these types of circumstances the band has changed a lot in the past couple years which leads to a change in music as well. I am elated to report that they have a good blend of newer sound and their familiar toe tapping great tracks. My favorite tracks so far are Backfire, Clipping and Architecture. Definitely worth adding to your collection, and if you haven’t heard much of Mutemath check them out. Popular songs from their previous album include: Typical, Chaos and Break the Same.
